Alana Hendrix, DVM

 

Dr. Hendrix joined our practice in 2004 as an intern and became an associate in 2005. She graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada in 2004. She successfully completed her training in equine acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida in 2007. She is currently using her Eastern acupuncture diagnostics and treatment in conjunction with modern Western medicine. Dr. Hendrix has received excellent results with her acupuncture therapy in horses of all disciplines including cutting horses, roping horses, dressage horses, and reproduction. She is currently accepting new patients for acupuncture exams and treatment. Her veterinary interests include performance horse medicine, lameness, and reproduction.

 

Dr. Hendrix is married to Derek Bowey. They have a daughter, Savannah, born in April 2009, and a son, Sawyer, born in October 2010. They live in the West Valley with their two German Shepherds. Dr. Hendrix likes to spend her free time with her family.
